Diabetes is a disease in which there is increased sugar levels in the body. Sugar level in the body is controlled by a hormone called insulin, produced by the pancreas. Diabetes results either due to cells of the pancreas to produce insufficient insulin or decreased response to the insulin produced. This condition must be treated, so as to avoid serious long term complications like: Stroke, kidney and heat problems, foot ulcers and damage to eyes.
